Our story:The Heart of The Afghan Village

The Afghan Village began with Omer Yousafzai and a simple dream: to bring the taste of home to Houston.

For Omer, Afghan food carries memories that go deeper than flavor. It reminds us of family gathered around fresh naan, warm tea poured for guests, rice cooked with patience, and kabobs prepared with care. It reminds us of Afghanistan, of village traditions, and of the kindness that is shown to every guest who walks through the door.

In Afghan culture, hospitality is everything. A guest is not treated like a stranger — a guest is treated with honor, respect, and love. That belief is at the heart of The Afghan Village.

Every plate we serve is made with that same spirit. From our palau and kabobs to our qormas, soups, naan, and village specialties, each dish is prepared to bring comfort, tradition, and connection.

The Afghan Village is more than a restaurant. It is a place where culture is shared, where memories are made, and where every guest is welcomed like family.

Welcome to The Afghan Village — a taste of Afghanistan, served with warmth and love.
